Current Responsibilities: Ron is the CEO for Discover Claims LLC; a healthcare analytics firm that provides Third Party Lability and Mass Tort / Multidistrict Litigation Discovery Analytics and related business intelligence to the communities serving the healthcare provider and self-insured employer verticals.
Healthcare Experience: Prior to joining Discover Claims, Ron was the Managing Director of Alleus Health Analytics. Prior to his focus on Mass Tort Litigation Recovery, Ron was the Managing Director of Aon Global Strategy’s Health Care Provider Transformation Initiative. This collaboration between Aon Risk Solutions, Aon Hewitt and Aon Benfield focused on assisting health care providers navigate the transition from fee-for-service payment models to the wide spectrum of value-based payment methodologies. Ron has served as the National Health Care Practice Leader for both Aon Risk Solutions and for MARSH.
Ron has over thirty years of leadership experience in the health care risk consulting and brokerage industry. He served on the Board of the Coalition for Affordable and Reliable HealthCare, and the Advisory Boards of Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management Healthcare MBA Program and the National Safety Net Advancement Center. He was the first risk consultant to be invited to join the Health Management Academy and has been a contributor to the Health Care Transformation Task Force - Bundled Payment Workgroup and the Accountable Care Learning Collaborative.
Military Service: Before he entered the healthcare industry, Ron served in the U.S. Navy as a Submarine Service (SS) qualified member of the U.S. Naval Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine Warfare Group, having served on the USS Henry L. Stimson (SSBN-655), USS Benjamin Franklin (SSBN-640), and the USS Simon Bolivar (SSBN-641).
Education: BSBA from The Citadel and MHRD from Clemson University
